The 34th Annual Mid-America Trucking Show is this week at the Kentucky Fair
and Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.
The show will include 1 million square feet of exhibit space with more than
1,000 businesses and organizations exhibiting. A wide variety of equipment
and services will be on display.
Show hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. March 31; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 1; and
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 2. Don’t forget, the show is located within the
Eastern Time Zone, so if you’re driving in from the West, don’t be late. All
times listed here are Eastern Standard Time.
Truck parking
MATS has 26 acres of parking available for big trucks and RVs.
Lots G and K are on-site truck parking. Lot K can accommodate overnight
truck parking at $20 per night with no hook-ups. Lot L is for RV parking,
with hook-ups available for $35 per night. For information, call

Additional truck parking is available at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
Shuttles will be available to take attendees to and from the show. Free
refreshments will be provided at the stadium.

Richard and Kyle Petty to visit Freightliner booth
The second and third generations of the Petty racing dynasty are scheduled
to visit with fans at the Freightliner display at Booth No. 3210.
Kyle Petty will be at the booth from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, and
Richard Petty will be at the booth from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 1.
Richard Petty set the standard for success in the NASCAR world with a record
200 cups and seven championships. He won the Daytona 500 a record seven
times. He retired after the 1992 season, but he remains active as the owner
of the Petty Enterprises car.
Kyle Petty started driving stock cars in 1979 and quickly advanced. At the
end of the 1998 season, he moved his team back to Level Cross, NC, where
four teams now drive under the Petty Enterprises banner.
Patty Loveless hosted by Mid America Jamboree
Eric Harley and Joe Kelley, hosts of “The Midnight Trucking Radio Network,”
will play host to country music singer Patty Loveless at this year’s Mid
America Jamboree in Louisville, KY.
Loveless will be available for autographs from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March
31, at “The Midnight Trucking Radio Network” booth in the lobby at the show.
A Kentuckian, Loveless has won almost every award in country music, from
“Top Female Vocalist” from the Academy of Country Music to “Album of the
Year” and “Vocal Event of the Year” from the CMA, as well as a Grammy for
“Best Country Collaboration.”
Loveless will also join Eric Harley from 1 to 6 a.m. EST Friday, April 1,
for a live remote broadcast of the show from the lobby of the Executive West
Hotel. The hotel is adjacent to the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center.
The Midnight Trucking Radio Network can be heard coast-to-coast on
50,000-watt AM stations nationwide as well as Sirius Satellite Radio Channel

The popular country group Sawyer Brown will headline Kenworth Truck Company’
s 17th annual “Trucker Appreciation Concert,” Friday, April 1, at the 2005
Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY.
Sawyer Brown recently debuted a new album featuring the song “Mission Temple
Fireworks Stand,” which made Billboard’s Country Singles Chart. The group
appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in December. The award-winning
band has had numerous hits during the past 20 years.
Amy Dalley, who has a popular new single “I Would Cry,” is scheduled to open
for Sawyer Brown. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Kentucky Fair
and Exposition Centernext to MATS.
Complimentary Sawyer Brown concert tickets will be available to CDL holders
only –limit of two tickets per person. Tickets, while supplies last, will be
distributed in the South Hall Lobby, Booth No. 2 on both Thursday, March 31,
starting at 1 p.m., and again on Friday, April 1, starting at 10 a.m.
